Data privacy notice

How Batangas City Cares collects, uses and protects the personal information you share with City Government of Batangas, in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).

What we collect

When you create an account, apply for a service, file a report or book a visit, we collect what the transaction needs: your name, mobile number, address and barangay, the details of your application or complaint, and any supporting documents or photos you upload. Signing in asks only for your mobile number and a one-time code — you never set or remember a password.

Why we collect it

Your information is used to verify your identity, route your request to the right city office, process and update your case, and send you status updates and relevant announcements. Sensitive records — such as health or medical assistance applications — are handled by the receiving office only and are masked in every internal audit trail: staff see that a record changed, never the answers themselves.

Who can see it

Only the city office assigned to your request, and staff with the specific permission to view it. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it outside City Government of Batangas except where the law requires it or where sharing is necessary to deliver the service you asked for (for example, referring a case to a partner agency).

Signing in with Microsoft

City staff may sign in with their Microsoft account. When they do, the app receives their name, e-mail address and a unique account identifier from Microsoft Entra ID for that sign-in, and stores the identifier so future sign-ins are recognised. This applies to staff accounts only, never to citizen accounts. See Microsoft's privacy statement for how Microsoft handles that exchange.

How long we keep it

We keep case records for as long as needed to deliver the service and to meet the city's records-retention rules, after which they are archived or disposed of in line with those rules.

Your rights

You may access, correct or ask about the personal data you have given us. If you are signed in, open Me → Settings → Privacy and consents to see every consent on file and withdraw any of them, except the one that keeps your account registered.
